Referral Pathways

Getting support shouldn't come with paperwork. There's no referral form, no formal interview, no waiting to be assessed as "carer enough."

How to get a referral

Self-refer any time — just reach out. Or ask someone else to point us your way: a GP, a school, a friend, another service, or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), who also refer families our way. However it happens, it's usually a warm handover — most often over email.

Where We Refer To

Beyond Centrelink payments many carers are entitled to but don't know about, we connect people with Carer Gateway, Bendigo Carer Support Services, the Support for Carers Program, Tandem, and Mind's Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect. For young carers specifically, we connect people with specialists like Little Dreamers and Satellite Foundation.

Not sure if you need a referral or just someone to talk to?

Reach out either way.
